We’re delighted to see C&M Precision featured across three pages of Machinery & Manufacturing, looking at how the company has grown from a single CNC lathe in 1991 to the strong business we are today.
The feature tells the story through the words of our founder and Managing Director, John Cable, from remortgaging his home to fund that very first machine, to building a facility now home to 13 Citizen and Miyano CNC machines and a skilled workforce of 15, producing millions of high-precision components every year.
It’s a story of growth, continued investment in people and complex manufacturing equipment.
John talks about the machines that changed the direction of the business, including the arrival of our first Citizen M12 in 2004, which went on to produce around eight million components. He also explains why Citizen’s LFV technology has become such an important part of our machining capability today.
The feature comes at an exciting time for C&M, following around £1 million of investment in Citizen machinery over the past 3 to 4 years, with our latest purchase being the flagship Citizen M532.
But, the most important part of the article is what’s behind all that technology: long-standing customer relationships with some spanning 30 years, quality, reliability and a continual willingness to invest in what comes next.
For C&M, investment has always been about looking ahead. The right technology and the right team to ensure we have the capability to make components our customers will require not just today, but in many years to come.
